Our mission at the Lucas Artists Program at Montalvo Arts Center is to support artists to incubate, develop, and present new and challenging art works, and to provide them with platforms to take risks, forge new creative and collaborative partnerships, and take their work in new and innovative directions. To fulfill this mission, we have an extensive commissions program, which is organized around four key areas of focus, which sometimes overlap.
