Usually developing through a co-commissioning process where we work with a strategic partner to leverage our shared resources, Offsite Partnerships provide artists with the opportunity to create new ambitious work and share it with new publics. A recent example of this is XLIII: A Contemporary Requiem, a new sonic and dance performance co-produced by Montalvo Arts Center and Santa Clara University, which premiered in January 2016. Earlier collaborations include Leah Rosenberg and Susan O’Malley’s Finding Your Center, a self-help audio tour and distributed sculptural installation commissioned for the 2014 Bay Area Now triennial at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
Who we Are
Housed within Montalvo Arts Center, a 175 acre public park in the Santa Cruz foothills, and in the heart of the Silicon Valley, the Sally and Don Lucas Artists Residency Program (LAP) is a creative incubator dedicated to supporting the creative process for artists from all creative disciplines and geographical locations.
