LAP ARTIST SURVEY
We are working on a book project that will document and critically examine the germination of the residency program at Montalvo Arts Center, and the work, ideas, and models incubated and presented by artists at the Lucas Artists Program (LAP) since it opened in 2004.
You are part of this story! We invite you to participate in our LAP artist survey, the results of which will provide source material and content for the publication.
Your responses may be integrated into commissioned essays, serve as stand-alone quotes, or become part of new visual artworks for the book that creatively represent survey data. We may also approach you to explore commissioning a case study on your work and process at the LAP. For those of you who are able to participate, we will send you a digital copy of the publication (Publish date: January 2021.)
You can do this in 20 minutes or you can engage more deeply—it’s entirely up to you. We value one-line answers just as much as long paragraphs. If all you have time for is a few short zingers in response to a couple of the questions, that might be just the thing!

Response Requirements
- You can submit answers to as many or as few questions you choose.
Edits, Changes, & Saving for Later
- You can edit your answers even after they have been submitted. After clicking the Submit button, you will receive an email with a link and instructions for any future edits.
- You can save and resume your survey at any time. Click Save For Later and you will receive an email with a link and instructions to continue filling out the survey at a later time.
